The Book of All Books

The Book of All Books by jsmonzani
While numerous specialists have proven that this is a legend, the myth of the Book of all Books (a book that contains all books and all upcoming books into it) has recently gained more and more popularity.

It is of no doubt that this can’t be true, and for the own good of the Population and Order, the Great Committee has wisely forbidden any cult of this heresy.

However, the recent discovery of a huge artefact is adding more and more worshipers to the cult, and the Great Committee has decided to send its best researchers to solve this once and for ever.

Inspired by the style of Jorge Luis Borges and an homage to his short stories. I'm just realizing afterwards that the work of Schuiten and Peeters has been an unconscious influence too.

People and book are a real photo, only the background is altered.

Great image, but I'd be a tad skeptical about opening that book... Might wind up being a part of the binding...

This fable was actually found inscribed in the upper story of the Croydon (London) Central Library. It's context was ascribed to a local author (David Bookerman) who writely wants to remain anonymous. This character was a rum cove who spent a short spell amongst the tomes back in '68 - a novel appearance at the time.....

Love the piece, can almost smell the leaves.....Brilliant!
